"The capability of the Iraqi army, especially since the last time I was here since 2003-2004 … has been significantly improved.” Maj. Gen. Hertling

Earlier today, we spoke with U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Mark Hertling, commander of Multinational Division North and 1st Armored Division, who provided an update on operations in northern Iraq on the DOD’s Bloggers Roundtable.

Joining us on the call today was Andrew Lubin from the Military Observer, David Axe from War is Boring, and Greg Grant from Next Gov.
