"... one of the key things we do as the developers of doctrine for the United States Army is that is, in fact, what drives change."

Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell, Commanding General, U.S. Army Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth, told us Monday an Army Bloggers Roundtable. Lt. Gen. Caldwell and Lt. Col. Steve Leonard joined us from the Association of the United States Army conference to announce the release of FM3-07 Stability Operations.

On the call with us was Dave Dillege of the Small Wars Journal, Phibian from Commander Salamander, Spencer Ackerman with the Washington Independent, Matt Armstrong from Mountain Runner, John Donovan at Castle Argghhh!, and Toby Nunn at Toby Nunn's Briefing Room.

Lt. Gen. William Caldwell understands New Media

Lt. Gen. William Caldwell very much understands the impact on communications in the New Media environment. He spoke to my DINFOS class on how he encourages his captains and majors to blog. His blog can be found here.

Anyway, a good piece on Caldwell's mission to get people to think different. Oh, I almost forgot...In March Lt. Gen. Caldwell was on Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show."
